Ways to wear: A maxi dress

Hey style choicers! I love maxi dresses, but sometimes, it can be pretty tricky to make them look casual, don't you think? So I'm going to give you a few tips for the summer time!

  • Pair your maxi dress with casual accesories, like a denim vest or a chunky necklace. This will make your maxi dress look like any other summer outfit, and it'll make your maxi dress easy to wear for going out with friends or meeting up with family.
£20 from boohoo.com

  • For the perfect 'girly with an edge' look, pair a chiffon maxi dress with a leather jacket and maybe a tough waist belt. This will make your maxi dress perfect for church or a family event.
 (Jacket) £100 from Asos.com

  • Convert your maxi dress to a night time look by adding chunky heels and some edgy jewellery. Make sure you play with some of the colours on the maxi dress that aren't as prominant, or if your maxi dress is one colour, use colour blocking.

Taylor Swift L4L and Polyvore

Hey Style Choicers! I've always had a polyvore account for as long as I can remember, so I've decided to connect Style Choice to my polyvore, which I made when I was quite young, so some of the sets are a little bit out-dated, but I'm going to start doing my outfit of the days, looks for less, and style experiments on my polyvore, so if you have a polyvore, make sure you follow if you've got one, and check it out regularly, because I'll make sets more often than my blog posts.

Also, I say this constantly, but remember, my gmail is always open, and I have email updates coming to my phone, so if you have any fashion problems or just need a bit of fashion advice, send me a quick email. If you want me to post my reply on the blog, I will, but I won't share your email, so make sure you include a first name. I can also give general advice, so if you're having any problems and you need help, just send me a quick email explaining your problem, and I'll reply with some advice as soon as I can. Don't worry, nothing personal will be shared on the blog, I'll keep it in my email and nobody except me and you will know you sent it. Business enquiries can also be send to my email if you have any.

Outfit of the night: Tough v. Girly

Hey style choicers! I went out last night with a few friends for a couple cokes and some time to relax at my church. I know, totally normal 'friday night out' right? I loved the outfit I picked out though, so I decided I'd show you!
The only piece that's exactly the same on that picture and in my outfit is the skirt, but this is where my outfit was from:
Red tank top - H&M
White high low skirt - Republic
Black leather jacket - Not quite sure, it's pretty old, sorry!
Black ballet flats - New Look
Key charm bracelet - Claires (I know! Usually their jewellery is low quality, but this was in the Alice In Wonderland line and I have a total soft spot for anything Alice In Wonderland, so I HAD to get it!)
Black bead necklace - I'm not sure, mine was a gift, once again, sorry!

Hope you liked this outfit! Would you like more OOTN's? I usually go out every Friday night and I usually like to experiment different outfits, so just let me know if you want me to show you them!

Decor Choice: Chillout Zone

Hey style choicers! As you've probably noticed, I've been doing less posts lately. I was stressing myself out trying to find something to post about every day, so I decided to do them less regularly, so check the blog every day! I'll try and come up with a posting schedule soon, but for the moment, I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to post every day. I've been inspired by interior design, so I'm going to be starting a new series called Decor Choice. I know, it's a terrible name, but if you have a better name, please let me know. Each post will have a new theme, and todays is the perfect 'chillout' area.

You want to feel completely relaxed in your chillout zone, so you want to use calm colours. Stick to whites, blues and pastels. Give the room a theme that makes you happy and feel calm, like the ocean, or nature.

Use things like bean bags, hanging chairs, and stereos to make the room enjoyable to hang out in. You want it to be practical aswell though. Make sure you keep it uncluttered. Clutter stresses people out, and that'll put a downer on your mood. Keep cd racks with calming music around, and be sure to have a snack area or mini fridge, incase you get peckish!

Use decorations that make you smile. Things like picture frames, posters, white boards, flowers, whatever you want! But make sure you don't over-do it.

I hope you enjoyed this Decor Choice post! Let me know if you like it and want more posts like this!

How to make studying fun

Hey style choicers! I decided to do something a bit different today. It's exam season, so I thought I'd give you my top tips for how to study, but have fun!

  • Make a song or rap of what you need to remember! This works for me, being a singer, because I can memorize lyrics in a nick of time but I'm terrible at remembering facts, so putting it into a song always helps!

  • Give yourself a visual way to remember the facts. Whether it's a drawing or a mind map, if you're someone who remembers things they see, then this will help you remember things.

  • Record yourself speaking the facts and listen to it while you're on the computer, while you're making a sandwich, while you're brushing your teeth, or while you're... knitting? (Who knows what else you'll be doing. Point is, listen to it throughout the day.) Your mind subconciously remembers the things it hears, so this'll work if you're a good listener!

  • Assosiate a CD for each of your different subjects, to help you focus while you study that subject. Make sure whenever you study that subject, play that CD.

  • Study while you exercise! I know that sounds crazy, but exercising helps you focus, so get on a treadmill, and read through your notes or study guide while you run!

Did this help? Do you have any other tips? Leave me a comment below or send me an email!

Mini (cheap) haul!

Hey style choicers! It's been a while (a whole week! Sorry!) becuase I've been incredibly busy preparing for my show tomorrow. I did find time to do a little bit of shopping in New Look today though, and I only got 3 things, but they were all so cheap that I just HAD to share them with you!

(These things are all from New Look, which only has stores in the UK but ships to other countries from newlook.com)
£6.99
This tank top is a see-through striped drop arm tank top that I found when I was deperately trying to find a cute drop arm tank top that's easy to wear. Most people wear these with basic bandeus, but I'm not the kind of person who feels comfortable wearing a see-through top with a bandeu, I like to feel a little bit more covered up. I'm a bit of a tank top junkie. I have tank tops in so many colours that would look amazing under this, so I thought this would be a great addition to my summer wardrobe by adding a colourful tank top, denim shorts, and sandals.

£2.49
I just said I had lots of colourful tank tops, but apparently, lots is not enough. I bought myself a coral pink tank top, which, trust me, is ALOT brighter in person. I pretty much bought this because it looked so gorgeous underneath the top above. Plus, that is my favourite colour, and I didn't already have a tank top like it, so I went ahead and bought it. It WAS only £2.49.

£16.99
Ok, these shoes are absalutely adorable. I fell in love with them when I went on by BIG shopping spree, but they weren't in my size in the colour I wanted. They don't sell the colour I have anymore, so I couldn't find a picture, but mine are more light brown than orange-tan. They have a pretty low heel (so comfortable!) and yet they still add a good amount of height. Also, they look so adorable on! They're kind of like a cage-sandal wedge. They're pretty cheap for the quality, and to be honest, I just fell in love with them as soon as I saw them.

I'm so happy with my purchases, and I only spend £26 all together! Thats pretty good for a shopoholic.
